Pharmocological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
Dermazol – antimicrobial agent for external use, imidazoledioxolan derivative. Has an evident antifungal effect, specifically disables fungous ergosterol synthesis. Active to dermatophytes: Тrichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton floccosum. Pharmocoligical properties are casualty actioned to the fungal membrane cells.
Pharmacokinetics.
When externally used, ketoconazole resists resorption. Long time use of shampoo 2% form may result in ketoconazole accumulation in hair creatine.
Indications.
For treatment of fungous haircloth (scalp) skin eruption: dandruff, seborrheic eczema, deprive.
Dosage and administration.
Shampoo is applied with warm water and has to be washed in 3-5 min. When tinea versicolor shampoo should be used once a day, the treatment course is 5 days. When seborrheic dermatitis and lichen pilaris shampoo has to be used once a day during 3 days; seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff – once a week.
Adverse effects.
Rarely local reactions: skin irritation, scratch, burning, high fat or dry hair content, reinforced fall out; sometimes – change of hair colour (patients having chemical damages or gray hair).
Contra-indications.
Heightened sensitivity to the preparation.
Overdosage.
The shampoo is for external use only, ketoconazole practically is not absorbed in systemic blood flow, overdosage symptoms are improbable.
Administration characteristics. Dermazol is for external use only. Avoid shampoo application into the eyes. In case of shampoo application into the eyes, wash them with the water.

Storage conditions and term of validity. Store at room temperature in a dark place, out of reach of children. Term of validity – 3 years.
