Ltd., the Indian pharmaceutical exporter touching 22 nations worldwide including exports to KUSUM IN UKRAINE condemns with absolute fury, the hostile, senseless Russian drone attack on its vital manufacturing facility in Sumy, Ukraine causing death, injuries and sufferings to innocent human lives. This wicked strike has ruthlessly targeted a sanctuary dedicated entirely to manufacturing life-saving drugs for millions of innocent human lives.

This outrage deals another catastrophic blow to an enterprise already reeling from the horrific events of April 14, 2025, when a Russian drone deliberately blew up the company’s Ukrainian warehouse. Since then, KUSUM, backed by its core manufacturing powerhouses in India (2 units in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, and 1 unit in SEZ-Pithampur, Indore, Madhya Pradesh) has been left completely abandoned and diplomatically bewildered as to why its healthcare lifeline is being dragged into a brutal military slaughter.

With losses soaring past UAH 1 billion from the previous attack, and total current damage projected to breach the USD 50 million mark, KUSUM has been forcibly dragged into war and forced to shoulder complete financial ruin. Even more contemptable is the deafening silence from the Government of India. Despite repeated pleas through Indian pharmaceutical forums to intervene at the highest levels of international diplomacy to protect private, life-saving businesses from the theater of war, New Delhi has offered not a single word of regret or support so far.

Kusum fiercely denounces Russia’s pathetic and futile attempts to exploit geopolitical discord by brutally attacking a private healthcare entity whose only “crime” is preserving human life.
